Gastronomic Motorcycle Tour & Rental France

In pursuit of Cassoulet- THE defining dish of southern France! Ride hrough some of the most beautiful mountains you can see - Look at the picture of Foix Castle - above. An army marches on its stomach - we ride on ours - we start off riding to the home of Cassoulet eat some, then we chase around the country side visiting the homes of the ingredients. We can arrange accommodation and provide additional services for you on this motorcycle tour if you wish at no extra charge.

We run through the mountains to Foix. Departmental town from the Ariege to Castelnaudry and its Cathar castle. Self Proclaimed capital of Cassoulet and home to the French Foreign Legion. This route can take some hours to ride as it is incredibly twisty. If we make good time we can pop into the French Foriegn Legion museum - very interesting. Foix and Castelnaudry are both steeped in hostory. Dinner at any one of 100 cassoulet restaurants - quality abounds - a cassoulet for every budget!	Leaving Castelnaudry we visit another two fantastic french towns - Albi and Montauban on our way to pick up som Toulouse sausage in Toulouse. Toulouse is the pink city. If the group decides it wants a party night, and a good steak (15 euros - there's no menu - they only ask you how you want it done and what you want for dessert!) then we can stay in Toulouse - otherwise there are some peaceful and charismatic villages all over the region and we can stay in one of those.	What French meal is complete without wine! Where is the wine better than Bordeaux. The locals here in the Midi-Pyrenees eat their Cassoulet with Duck and Foie Gras - so we go to Lombez/Samatan - the home of Canard Confit and Foie Gras - for a wee taster for lunch. Then we ride up to Cahors - another scenic medieval town and through the Vinyards to a wine Chateau just outside of Bordeaux. You can count on the standard of the wine!	The french Chefs-de-Cuisine all recognise that the Beans from Tarbes are the only ones to use when making Cassoulet. So we visit Tarbes. The roads on the way back are uncomfortably straight for Bill's liking (anything up to 4KM at a time) - so if we make good time (hangovers permitting) from Tarbes we go into the Pyrenees and ride through some magnificent scenery like that in the picture above.

Please remember our Tours and costings are fully customisable. We quote the maximum we think you will have to pay - the standard of such a Hotel is generally around 3-4 star. We endeavour to meet or get below the costs indicated. A 'party' is ALL of the riders on a given tour not just member of your own party. If you indicate an interest in the tour then we will let all other interested parties know - costs are finalised 14 days before a tour departs.
